Just utlized the new MS SQL Express 2008, with this DB. Works faster and smoother than with the SQL 2005. I am running DB on a Vista 32 system. So yes the DB will work with newer software just fine. N

I saw animevision being mentioned in the URL below.

http://ostatic.com/blog/10-open-source-projects-make-the-cut-as-rookies-of-the-year

having visited your sourceforge site, i went through the screenshots. however, i'm still in the dark what is anime vision about.

could you kindly have a "Features" section that explains what Animevision does, how it is used, and all its various features.

also, i noticed you use SQL express. isn't it possible to use any other database such as mysql or postgresql?

thanks.

Hi ramsamba,
AnimeVision is (for making it simple) a software to manage your animes (in DVD or such) and manage the "visions" (the time you've saw a particular anime).

But in reality is has lots of other functionality that is best to try to it rather than try to explain.

Yep, i use SQLExpress, after all this was a private educational project (gone opensource when asked by people) to play a little with LINQToSQL functionality of the .NET Framework 3.5. Until there is a free (and functional) LINQToMySQL or LINQToPostgres, i don't plan to move to other DBMS.

If you have any other question please post here,
